(\u00c4gypten-Geschichte-Kultur g, 2021)<br><br>Gem\u00e4ss Selket entsprang Thot aus der Stirn des <a href=\"https:\/\/mythologien.ch\/index.php\/seth\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"868\"><span style=\"color: #FFFFFF;\" class=\"stk-highlight\">Seth<\/span><\/a>, da dieser unwissentlich <a href=\"https:\/\/mythologien.ch\/index.php\/horus\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"878\"><span style=\"color: #FFFFFF;\" class=\"stk-highlight\">Horus<\/span><\/a>\u2018 Ejakulat verzehrt hatte. Aus diesem Grund wird Thot auch als Mondgott bezeichnet, da er aus der Dunkelheit von <a href=\"https:\/\/mythologien.ch\/index.php\/seth\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"868\"><span style=\"color: #FFFFFF;\" class=\"stk-highlight\">Seth<\/span><\/a>s Stirn heraus entsprang durch die Hilfe des Lichtgottes <a href=\"https:\/\/mythologien.ch\/index.php\/horus\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"878\"><span style=\"color: #FFFFFF;\" class=\"stk-highlight\">Horus<\/span><\/a><span style=\"color: #FFFFFF;\" class=\"stk-highlight\">.<\/span> (Selket o, 2021)<br><br>Nach Wilkinson gilt Thot als Gott der Weisheit, der Zeit, der Gelehrsamkeit, des Schreibens und des Mondes. Es heisst, dass er die Weisheiten von seinem Vater erbte oder in dessen B\u00fcchern erlernte. Er war auch bekannt als Gott der Zauberei und galt zudem als Erfinder einiger T\u00e4tigkeiten, wie unter anderem der Astronomie, der Musik oder der Medizin. (Wilkinson, 2020, S. 241)<br><br>Thots Aufgabe besteht, laut Wilkinson, darin, Aufzeichnungen \u00fcber die Prozesse und Urteile im Totengericht \u00fcber die Seelen der Verstorbenen aufzuzeichnen. Ausserdem hat er schwarzes und weisses Gefieder auf seinem Kopf. Der Schnabel soll dabei die Mondsichel symbolisieren und die schwarzen und weissen Gefieder das Ab- und Zunehmen des Mondes.
