Der Gott der Weisheit, Thot, taucht beispielsweise immer als ibisk\u00f6pfiges Wesen auf. Diese Identifikationen der G\u00f6tter erlauben es den Menschen, diese besser voneinander zu unterscheiden. An den Tempeln wurden jeweils die entsprechenden Tiere geopfert, um nach den G\u00f6ttern zu rufen oder um Hilfe oder Rat zu bitten.<br><br>Laut Shaw sind die G\u00f6tter jedoch nicht an eine fixe Tiergestalt gebunden, sondern verwandeln sich auch nach Lust und Laune in andere Tiergestalten und werden so von den Menschen dargestellt. So sagt man, dass sie ihr wahres Wesen fern im Himmel annehmen, sodass niemals ein Mensch sie in ihrer wahren Gestalt zu Gesicht bek\u00e4me. Die \u00c4gypter und \u00c4gypterinnen sind aber genau wie die Griechen und Griechinnen davon \u00fcberzeugt, dass diese G\u00f6tter und G\u00f6ttinnen auch nicht allgegenw\u00e4rtig oder allwissend waren. (Shaw, 2015, S. 15)<br><br>Nach Philognosie seien die \u00e4gyptischen Gottheiten mit Tieren verbunden worden, da die Menschen die Tiere als \u00fcberlegen angesehen haben. Der Grund daf\u00fcr war, dass die Tiere \u00fcber Attribute oder F\u00e4higkeiten verf\u00fcgten, welche die Menschen nicht haben und nie haben werden. Laut dem damaligen \u00e4gyptischen Glaubengalt ein Gott oder eine G\u00f6ttin als Kombination eines Menschen mit einem Tier. (Philognoise, 2021)<br><br>Gem\u00e4ss Shaw gaben die alten \u00c4gypter:innen den Sch\u00f6pferg\u00f6ttern auch immer ein weibliches Gegenst\u00fcck, welches mit dem m\u00e4nnlichen des Gottes ineinander verwoben war (zum Beispiel Nun und Nauhet). Die neu entstandene Gottheit ist, nach Selket, meist eine Kombination der beiden verschmolzenen G\u00f6ttern und tr\u00e4gt Qualit\u00e4ten und Aussehen von beiden in sich. Damit wird zum Teil auch die Rolle der neu erschaffenen Gottheit mehr spezifiziert als zuvor.<br><br>Laut Shaw vereinigen sich die G\u00f6tter kurzzeitig, damit sie ihre Kr\u00e4fte sammeln und so davon profitieren k\u00f6nnen. So verschmilzt <a href=\"https:\/\/mythologien.ch\/index.php\/re\/\"><span style=\"color: #FFFFFF;\" class=\"stk-highlight\">Re<\/span> <\/a>(der Gott der Sonne) kurzfristig mit <a href=\"https:\/\/mythologien.ch\/index.php\/osiris\/\"><span style=\"color: #FFFFFF;\" class=\"stk-highlight\">Osiris<\/span> <\/a>(Gott der Wiedergeburt), damit er seine erneuerbare Kraft brauchen kann, um dann selbst am n\u00e4chsten Morgen als Morgend\u00e4mmerung wiedergeboren zu werden.
