Zudem ist sie die einzige Tochter der Demeter. Sie wurde von ihrem Gemahl in die Unterwelt entf\u00fchrt. Demeter war so erz\u00fcrnt dar\u00fcber, dass sie keine Pflanzen und kein Getreide mehr wachsen liess. Daraufhin beschloss Zeus, dass Persephone wieder zu Demeter gehen k\u00f6nne. Jedoch befahl Hades ihr, von einem Granatapfel zu essen, welcher in der Unterwelt wuchs. Durch das ist sie an die Unterwelt gebunden und konnte nicht auf Dauer in der Oberwelt weilen. So kommt es, dass Persephone w\u00e4hrend des Herbstes und des Winters in der Unterwelt bei Hades weilt, und im Fr\u00fchling und Sommer bei Demeter auf der Erde. So entstanden die Jahreszeiten, denn jeweils w\u00e4hrend der Zeit, in welcher Persephone nicht bei Demeter ist, l\u00e4sst Demeter nichts wachsen oder gedeihen.
